Living Faith

livingfaithkiteLiving Faith is designed to grow your faith, deepen your discipleship, and perhaps to prepare you for a particular role in the life of your church. It will help you to gain a greater understanding of God’s relationship with you, his church and the world, and help you to grow and mature in your discipleship.

There are no age limits, and you do not need to have done any formal learning before.

What does Living Faith cover?

The programme is in six sections (modules):

  • Spirituality and Prayer
  • Exploring the Bible – New Testament
  • Questions of Faith
  • Reshaping Church
  • Exploring the Bible – Old Testament
  • Challenging Choices (Ethics)

What will I be doing?

You will receive a Study Guide at the start of each module.

At home, in your own time, you will work through a section of the Study Guide, reading and thinking, jotting down some notes etc.  This may take an hour or two.

Then you will meet for a group session, where you will have an opportunity to discuss what you have done at home, share insights and ideas, and learn together.

Each group will be led by a tutor, who is there to answer any questions you have, and to guide you. Sometimes your tutor will also lead you in an activity, or give a short talk.

There are 10 group sessions for every module. (For those who wish to, there is the opportunity to submit assignments and gain a certificate, but this is entirely optional).
