Llandaff Cathedral Choir will be giving a concert of well-known choral music at the Cathedral next Wednesday, July 12, at 7pm.
The concert marks the culmination of the first year of the choir under the direction of Stephen Moore who took up the appointment of Director of Music in September 2016.
He said, “The Cathedral Choir has gone from strength-to-strength this year, with an increase in confidence meaning a large amount of choral music has been learnt and performed. This concert gives us the chance to show off what we get up to on a daily and weekly basis, and to perform some wonderful choral music on our home turf! I hope people from across the diocese will want to come and experience the labours of a year’s hard work.”
The choir will perform music by Howells, Ireland, Mendelssohn, Walton and Wesley, amongst others. Tickets are priced at £10, £8 (concessions) and £5 for students and can be purchased on the door. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the concert.
