Buildings close as we unite in prayer

Following the advice from the Prime Minister and for the safety of our communities we are closing all buildings in recognition that social distancing saves lives.

While are churches are closed we united as a prayerful community as we continue to live a life inspired by Christ. Many of our services will be live streamed or pre-recorded and your local priest will have these details.

Recognising the comfort our private prayer in our buildings bring, Bishop June says,

“As you might imagine it grieves me that we need to take this action of closing all our buildings, especially as I know that private access to them has been giving many reassurance and comfort in these days of much anxiety.

But I ask you to close our buildings in the prayerful hope that this will be for as short a time as possible.”

Further guidance from the Bench of Bishops will follow.

A prayer from Bishop June
