Digital Ministry 3: Inspiring images and designs

The third in a series of digital ministry blogs looks at how you can use free design tools to create inspiring social media posts.

You don’t need to be an expert in graphic design to create eye-catching images and designs. You don’t even need much of a budget either. All you need is Canva and Pixabay – and a beginners guide to get you started.

Canva

Canva is a graphic design app that allows you to create social media graphics, posters, leaflets, newsletters, infographics and other visual content. It’s easy to use and comes with plenty of free templates to get you started.

For most churches, the free version is ideal and there is a paid for version for the more adventurous.

Canva’s quick start guide is a great place to start.

Pixabay

If you’re looking for good quality royalty free stock images then try Pixabay. Search for an image then download it and you have great photos to liven up your website, parish newsletter or social media posts.
