Personal Stories from Conference Members

What Diocesan Conference means to me…

I’ve been a member of Diocesan Conference for quite a number of years, representing two parishes and two deaneries during that time. I sought election initially because of an interest in how the diocese worked.

I have witnessed a change in the way conference runs from a whole day going through every report to recent conferences which are far more interactive with group work focusing on such issues as 20/20 Vision. Networking with other conference members is a key feature of the day and acts as both a stimulus and focus.

Prior to conference it is interesting to read through the reports in order to gain an insight into the life of the diocese.

After the conference, I see it as very important to share what happened with a much wider group of the diocese, whether reporting back to PCC or writing an article for the Parish Magazine.
