South Wales Deaf Church has launched a new Facebook page, marking an important step in helping Deaf Christians across the region connect more easily with one another, share updates, and feel part of a growing, accessible worshipping community. The page was created and launched by Nicola Roylance, Deaf Community Outreach Worker for the dioceses of Llandaff and Monmouth.The launch reflects an ongoing commitment to making the church accessible, providing a space where Deaf people can engage with faith, fellowship, and community in ways that meet their needs. The new page will share news, videos, event information, and glimpses of everyday life, including a recent video featuring one of Nicola’s seven chickens, which has already brought smiles to the new online community.By creating a space where Deaf individuals can gather online,South Wales Deaf Church hopes to strengthen relationships, reduce isolation, and celebrate the richness of Deaf culture within the life of the church.The page is designed to make it easier for people to stay connected, especially those who may not be able to attend a service in person every week.Nicola explains, “Community matters, and feeling like you are truly welcomed and properly belong is so important.Faith grows when we share it, and this page helps us do exactly that.At the heart of the project is a simple truth, everyone has a place in the kingdom of God”For more information about South Wales Deaf Church or our outreach to the Deaf community, contact Nicola Roylance at nicolaroylance@cinw.org.uk.
