Part Time Parsonage Board Administrator

We're looking for a Parsonage Board AdministratorSalary Grade- £12,266 to £14,933 (£23,000-£28,000 FTE) gross per annumPart-time (20 hours per week), permanent contract.Part of our work in the Diocesan team is to provide good quality housing for our clergy, maintained well and to high standards of regulatory and legal compliance, so that our clergy are well resourced and confident to carry out their ministry well. To support this we are looking to recruit a Parsonage Board Administrator to be part of the team. The role will support the Parsonage Inspector and Parsonage Board Officer and will address compliance, financial processes, and general administrative assistance to the rest of the team.Dependant on the candidate we may be willing to discuss this as a formal apprenticeship role, with associated training support for a relevant professional qualification.The person that we are looking for willHave an understanding of property administration, customer service and the ethos of the Church in Wales,Be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail. Diocesan Accounting Trainee (DAT)

£20,000 - £25,000 per annum dependent on experience.This is a full-time, Permanent position.We have started a new service, to support churches across the Diocese by providing a book-keeping and accounting service, free at the point of use. This service has been rolled out to five Ministry Areas and the plan is to roll it out across the whole of the Diocese in the coming year. To support this we are looking to recruit a Diocesan Finance Trainee to be part of the team. The role will be focused on providing bookkeeping support using the My Fund Accounting system.Dependant on the candidate this may be a formal apprenticeship role, with associated training support for a professional qualification, likely to be AAT.The person that we are looking for willHave a good understanding of the ethos of the Church in WalesBe able to thrive in a changing environment, particularly as we roll out this service and engage with volunteers across the Diocese. Initially this role will be desk based, but in time occasional travel may be required during the roll out and for trouble-shootingBe a team player, able to engage with colleagues within the Diocesan Finance function and also with Treasurers from across the Diocese, who have different backgrounds and levels of experienceWe will initially be offering a core bookkeeping service, but we expect that in time we will add other services, both accounting and administrative.
