Llandaff is one of six dioceses in the Church in Wales and covers much of South Wales.The diocese is the most densely populated part of Wales and is hugely diverse, from the urban capital of Cardiff to post-industrial Valleys and the semi-rural Vale of Glamorgan.Our vision is that all may encounter and know the love of God through truth, beauty and service, living full and rich lives through faith and committed discipleship.

Our Ministry Area brings together coastal, urban and semi-rural communities within Bridgend County Borough. We value the breadth of Anglican life – from choral and traditional worship to contemporary and inter-generational services – and we work very deliberately as a team of clergy and laity, sharing responsibility and joy in ministry.The Porthcawl and Kenfig Ministry Area consists of an established group of church communities embedded in a strong Welsh identity. There are established links with schools and a wide range of community groups. There are active partnerships with charities and local businesses, civic bodies and charities. Within this Ministry Area there is a rich rhythm of seasonal festivals and town/village events. The Bishop of Llandaff is looking to grow the team of Transition Ministers. Our transition ministers help ministry areas across the diocese prepare for the appointment of their new ministry area leader. During a vacancy, a transition minister helps the ministry area to renew itself spiritually and organisationally in preparation for the new appointment. It is a demanding role, but it has the potential to transform and unlock ministry and mission in some of the more challenging contexts in the diocese.Full details can be found in the profile.
