Bishop Mary Blesses New School Hall

On 18th September Bishop Mary was delighted to bless the new hall at St. Brides Major Church in Wales Primary School in the Vale of Glamorgan.

She enjoyed a fantastic morning alongside Diocesan Secretary, James Laing, and Head of Education, Clare Werrett. Headteacher, Duncan Mottram, also welcomed the Chair of Governors, Ann Jenkins, local MP Kanishka Narayan and Rev’d Emma Street from Glamorgan Heritage Coast Ministry Area to join in the festivities.

Bishop Mary always enjoys visiting our schools, and this morning was no exception as pupils tried on her vestments and showed her around.

Clare said, “It was wonderful to join with the school to celebrate their new hall where they will enjoy worshipping and learning together.

Many congratulations to all involved in this wonderful project!”

James added, “It was a lovely occasion and a great celebration of a project which Duncan has worked hard and successfully to give the school the resources it needs to go from strength to strength!”

We wish all the staff an pupils at St Bride’s every blessing in their wonderful new school hall.
