Bridgend Churches Trail Celebrates Faith, History and Community

Visitors were invited to explore all eight churches across Pen-y-Bont ar Ogwr Ministry Area as part of a special Open Day that celebrated faith, heritage and community spirit.

Participants visited each of the beautiful and historic churches, collecting stickers along the way before submitting their completed trail entry at the final church they visited for the chance to win a prize. The event encouraged people of all ages to discover the rich history, architecture and worshipping life of the churches throughout the Ministry Area.

Activities across the Ministry Area included a wide range of events designed to celebrate local churches, heritage and community life. Participants enjoyed live music, history talks exploring the rich stories of their churches and communities, took part in quizzes, experienced the tradition of bellringing, and joined creative and faith-filled Messy Church activities for children and families.

The programme offered something for all ages, bringing people together in learning, fellowship and fun.

Organisers expressed their gratitude to Halo Leisure and Bridgend and District Historical Society for their generous donation of prizes, which helped make the event even more enjoyable for participants.
