St David’s Church in Neath is being lit throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week as a visible sign of remembrance, compassion and support for all those affected by the loss of a baby.

The church offers this act of witness in recognition of the many parents and grandparents who have experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of a child. The illumination serves as a reminder that they are not alone in their grief and that their loss, and the hopes and dreams that were lost with it, are remembered.
Members of the church community hold in their prayers all those who continue to live with the pain of bereavement, recognising that the impact of baby loss can be lifelong and deeply felt by families across generations.
During Baby Loss Awareness Week, St David's is shining a light of hope and remembrance, while acknowledging the profound grief that so many carry. Please join us in prayer for those affected by baby loss and to offer understanding, compassion and support to families navigating grief.
"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
