The East Vale Ministry Area was delighted to present a cheque for almost £2,000 to the charity 2Wish, supporting its vital work with families affected by the sudden and devastating loss of a child.
The donation was presented by Lay Chair, Jan Parry, to Rhian Mannings, founder of 2Wish. The funds were raised through the generosity and dedication of congregations and communities across the Ministry Area.
Receiving the donation, Rhian Mannings expressed her gratitude and explained that the contribution would help 2Wish continue providing immediate and ongoing support to families facing unimaginable grief following the loss of a child or young person.
The presentation reflected the Ministry Area's commitment to supporting those in need within the wider community. The work of 2Wish resonates deeply with the Christian calling to offer comfort, compassion and practical support to those experiencing hardship and loss.
Scripture reminds Christians of the importance of caring for one another, particularly in times of suffering. As St Paul wrote: "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2).
The generosity shown East Vale Ministry Area will ensure that families experiencing the deepest of losses receive the support, understanding and care they need.
