Members of the Friends of St Thomas, Birchgrove, in the Taff Wenallt Ministry Area presented a cheque for £1045 to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, represented by Kath Fisher. The funds were raised through Birchgrove in Bloom, a vibrant flower festival that celebrated creativity and community with refreshments, homemade cakes, entertainment and plants on sale.
The festival invited everyone to take part in imaginative competitions including Fill Your Welly Boot, Hanging Basket, Summer Wreath, Cut Flower Display and Wales for Planter, each one showcasing the joy and colour of local talent.
Natalie Evans attended on behalf of one of the sponsors, The Principality Building Society, offering warm support for the event. Other sponsors, including Monmouth Building Society and Pet Supplies Plus, Whitchurch, were unable to be present but contributed generously to the festival’s success.
Special thanks were given to Accordia Choir for their wonderful singing throughout the event and to Birchgrove School for their valued contribution, both of which added to the sense of celebration and togetherness.
The day reflected the spirit of Scripture, “Every good and perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17), reminding all involved that acts of generosity and community care are blessings shared.
