Behind Closed Doors: Equipping the Church to Deal With Domestic Violence
Behind Closed Doors Conference
Friday 12th April, 10am - 4pm
The Angel Hotel, Cardiff, CF10 1SZ
On Friday 12th April the Diocese of Llandaff, in partnership with Restored and Mothers Union, are hosting an event in Cardiff to explore the role the church can play, alongside the Welsh Government, the Police, and other public third sector organizations, in speaking up against domestic abuse and supporting survivors.
This event, which include inspiring talks, seminars and practical approaches your church can take, is open to all regardless of diocese or denomination. Lunch will be provided, and all attendees will receive a free copy of the newly created Welsh edition of the Restored Guide for Churches to Address Domestic Abuse.
1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, but just 2 in 7 feel their church is equipped to support them, and in the last year 1.5 million women and 751,000 men experienced domestic abuse in England and Wales.
Please join us in Cardiff on Friday 12th April so that together we can create a nation where all live free from the fear of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
