It was a special Sunday morning in Caerphilly and Aber Valley as Bishop Mary ordained the Rev'd Rob Jones as a Deacon in God's Church.
The service marked an important milestone in Rob's ministry journey, as he made his commitment to serve Christ and his people through ordained ministry. Family, friends and members of the local church community gathered to celebrate this joyful occasion and to support him as he begins this new chapter.
Rob will serve in the Caerphilly and Aber Valley Ministry Area alongside his Training Incumbent, the Rev'd Emma Rees-Kenny. Together with the congregations and communities they serve, they look forward to the opportunities and challenges of ministry ahead.
Please hold Rev'd Rob, Rev'd Emma and the people of Caerphilly and Aber Valley in their prayers as they embark on this exciting new chapter together.
As Scripture reminds us: "Here I am. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8).
This powerful verse reflects the calling to ministry and the willingness to answer God's invitation to serve, qualities that will guide Revd Rob as he begins his ministry as a deacon.
