Rocco's Mountain Challenge
Six‑year‑old Rocco, from the Afon Nedd Ministry Area, completed an extraordinary act of love and determination as he climbed Pen y Fan in memory of his baby sister, Rosie.
His challenge raised funds for 4Louis, a UK charity that supports families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, and the death of a baby or child.
Rocco undertook the climb with a clear purpose: “My goal is to raise enough money to be able to provide a cuddle cot for a hospital in need, and support families during this sad time like they did with my Mammy and Daddy.”
His courage and compassion moved everyone who followed his journey, and his Ministry Area has expressed immense pride in his achievement.

The charity 4Louis is widely known for providing memory boxes, keepsakes, specialist equipment, and training to hospitals and healthcare professionals, ensuring bereaved families receive sensitive and practical support. Rocco set himself a fundraising target of £4,000, and he is now just short of reaching that goal.
In the spirit of Scripture, “Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” (1 John 3:18). Rocco’s climb embodied this truth, a powerful act of remembrance, hope, and generosity.
This remarkable challenge stands as a moving example of community compassion, faith in action, and the strength found when families and churches walk together through grief and hope.
