40-day home pilgrimage guide launches

A new 40-day home pilgrimage guide has been launched by the Diocese of LLandaff to encourage people to embark on a spiritual journey from the comfort of their own home. With daily readings, prayers and reflective activities, this brand new guide is particularly useful for anyone who is shielding and has yet to return to church in person.

Fr Marc Walford, author of the guide and Team Vicar at the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Parish, says "The funny thing about pilgrimages is that they rarely go the way we expect. We made a whole load of plans for 2020 for our year of pilgrimage, and well, it hasn’t quite worked out how we expected. Instead, the Year of pilgrimage team have been working hard to put together a home pilgrimage guide for you and your congregations to use!

"Those who embark on this 40-day journey will be led through a spiritual journey from the comfort of their own home. From admiring the beauty and wonder of God’s creation, then out into the wilderness and the seemingly endless road, but don’t worry you won’t be left out there for long. Eventually hope is discovered, the way is found, and the destination comes into sight.

"This home pilgrimage includes liturgy, space for prayer, readings, devotions, reflective activities, and encouragement to engage in online worship.
