A Warm Llandaff Welcome to New Archdeacon and Canon Chancellor

On Sunday 21st September, Llandaff Cathedral was filled with celebration and hope as Bishop Mary installed two new senior clergy members into their roles within the Diocese of Llandaff.
The Rev’d Anne-Marie Renshaw was officially welcomed as Archdeacon of Morgannwg, joining us from the Benefice of Thurstable & Winstree in the Diocese of Chelmsford, where she served as Team Rector. Her installation marks the beginning of a new chapter in her ministry, and her arrival was met with warmth and anticipation.
During the same service, the Rev’d Canon Kate Harrison was installed as Canon Chancellor of Llandaff Cathedral. Rev’d Kate joins us from St Mark’s Hamilton Terrace in the Diocese of London, bringing with her a deep commitment to theological reflection and pastoral care.
The service was a moving occasion, filled with prayer, music, and a strong sense of community. Bishop Mary’s words of welcome and blessing set the tone for a hopeful and inspiring future.

As we welcome Archdeacon Anne-Marie and Rev'd Kate, we are reminded of the words from 1 Corinthians 3:9:
“For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
Together, as a Diocese, we look forward to growing the Kingdom of God, nurturing faith, deepening relationships, and serving our communities with love and purpose.
Let us continue to walk forward in faith, united in mission, and joyful in hope.
