Holiday Club Brings Joy to Penarth Community

In a vibrant celebration of faith, fun, and friendship, Penarth’s holiday club has once again brought people of all ages together in the heart of the town.

The Holiday Club took place beside the children’s playground and local restaurants, where laughter, colour, and music filled the summer air. Organised by Penarth Ministry Area in partnership with Cytûn the club offered a joyful mix of bouncy castles, parachute games, crafts, football, and more, all designed to welcome families from across the community.
Alongside the fun, live music, heartfelt testimonies, and engaging Bible stories created space for both children and adults to reflect on the transforming power of knowing Jesus as a personal friend.

“It’s good to see the church being so visible,” said Rev’d Jimmy Young, who was joined by the ministry area's new curate Rev’d Susannah, members of the YFM team, and volunteers from churches across Penarth.
Now in its fourth year, the club continues to grow, drawing returning families and even residents from a nearby care home, who joined in the music and laughter. It was truly an inter-generational celebration of community and faith.
As the day closed, one thing was clear: this wasn’t just an event, it was a glimpse of church at its best: open, joyful, and alive with the love of Christ.
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” – Matthew 19:14
A huge well done to everyone who made it happen!
