Pendoylan CinW Primary School awarded Global Neighbours Cymru Bronze Award
We are proud to share the news that Pendoylan Church in Wales Primary School has achieved the Global Neighbours Cymru Bronze Award, recognising the school’s commitment to global citizenship, courageous advocacy and helping learners see themselves as agents of change.

During a special celebration assembly, the Agents of Change shared a PowerPoint showcasing the work they’vebeen doing as a school — from fundraising for mosquito nets and supporting WaterAid, to learning about deforestation and writing to local companies to encourage them to avoid using unsustainable palm oil in their products.

The children also performed a beautifully, signed version of 'What a Wonderful World', read a thoughtful prayer and shared a poem. The special assembly concluded with a wonderful performance of 'Moana' by the school choir.
They were delighted to have Rebecca Elliott from Christian Aid join them. She was thrilled to present the certificate and commented on how impressed she was, with everything that Pendoylan Church in Wales Primary has achieved.
In a statement the school said; “We are elated that the children’s compassion, awareness, and commitment to making a difference, has been recognised through this award.”
Clare Werrett, Head of Education for the Dioceses of Llandaff and Monmouth, says; "We are incredibly proud of the school community at Pendoylan, who thoroughly deserve this award and have worked so hard on such important issues for us all.
Many congratulations to all at the school.’
Bishop Mary says: "This is such a well-deserved award and we are all so proud of everyone at Pendoylan.
This work in partnership with Christian Aid is fantastic, it provides inspiration for others across the diocese as we are all seeking to learn and grow in sustainable ways, making friends with our global neighbors and living in harmony with all creation.
Bendigedig ! So well done. Thank you Pendoylan for your hard work. I look forward to seeing what you’ll do next."
