Diocese partners with Relay to COP26
In line with our goal of being carbon neutral by 2030 our youth engagement team are partnering with Relay to COP26. This November, world leaders are meeting in Glasgow for important climate negotiations. We believe it’s time to make decisions that protect people rather than bank balances, to decide that no country will go into debt tackling climate change. It is a decade-defining opportunity to make a stand. Our team are involved in this Relay from St Ives to Glasgow because we care about climate justice and creation care. We want to see systematic change on a global and a local scale.
What can I do in Wales?
- Part of the Route is from Swansea to Bristol, you can sign up. Our youth engagement team has taken on the roles of Route Section Team Leaders and need as many people signing up through the website as possible. There are many ways to help, we need; lead walkers, walkers, accommodation hosts, on-call support, and local events/meets and greet.
- Encourage others to sign up
- Raise awareness of what we are doing for climate change by talking to your communities. Use the hashtag #RiseToTheMoment on social media.
Find out how else you can participate in your local area.
It is time to rise to the moment. Coming to South Wales 3rd July - 12th July.
