Bishop Blesses Orchard with Water Pistol at East Vale Family Day

Over 50 people in a multitude of hats gathered for the East Vale churches’ ‘Walking Talking Natter Hatter Tea Party’ on Sunday 16th July. The party walked to and celebrated the Lanlay Community Orchard with Bishop Mary who blessed the orchard with prayers (and the aid of a large water pistol!) before heading back to Peterston Church and Community Hall for tea, cake and crafts.

School Children Plea for Wales to be 'Safe' for Refugees at ‘Communities for Ukraine’ Event

“Refugees come to our country for a safe place because they had to leave theirs. Ukrainians just need somewhere to stay and feel safe because Ukraine isn't safe anymore,” said a students of Pen-y-Fai Church in Wales Primary School at Refugee Welcome event. The event was hosted by the Diocese of Llandaff and Citizens Cymru on 17th July as one of a two part series to raise awareness of the situation in Ukraine and how people could help.
