A shrine dedicated the Virgin Mary’s rescue of a drowning boy will be the destination of a pilgrimage taken by the residents of former mining village Penrhiwceiber as they begin celebrations of local church’s anniversary.

The Aber Valley Male Voice Choir, established in 1959, are noted for supporting charitable causes from raising money for numerous church funds to enhancing support for disability and medical condition-related charities. They will be performing at St Martin's Church, Caerphilly, on 11th June for the Churches Unlocked Festival 2023.
